Remove a watermark, date stamp or sticker from an image you are allowed to edit, then inspect how the covered area was filled.
The same photo before and after the AI watermark remover cleaned an overlay. The repaired area is generated detail, so check it against the source before you reuse the image.
Start where the overlay was. On a plain surface, check color, grain and the edge where the fill meets the original. On a pattern, look for repetition or broken alignment. On an object, compare structure with an independent reference if it matters.
Automatic cleanup can affect more than the visible mark. Compare faces, labels, signs, product controls and straight lines far from the overlay with the source, and follow any background edge through the repaired region.
A plausible fill may suit a decorative layout and still fail a factual product photo or an archive record. Check the whole result in its final crop, and keep the marked source with the version you choose.
What sits behind the mark decides how hard the repair is. Look at it before you start, and keep the original file.
Date stampRemoved
A stamp over a simple background is a different job from one crossing a face, patterned clothing or a building edge. Use a source you may edit, and review the covered area against neighboring texture. The cleaned image is a display copy; keep the stamped original, because the date may still matter to your archive.
StickerRemoved
Look for the editable source or a clean export first. If the sticker sits on a plain background, judge the fill by continuity. If it overlaps the product, the model may invent a surface or label, so compare the product with an approved reference. Add the new promotion as editable text in your layout tool.
LabelRemoved
Decide whether the overlay is the only problem, since removing it will not fix a poor crop or low resolution. Check that nearby charts, icons and text did not change, and that an annotation was not carrying a needed qualification. A patch that looks fine alone can show once the slide background changes.
Three steps in the panel above: upload, run the cleanup, then compare the covered area with the source.
Add a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB that you own or have permission to adapt. Note what sits behind the overlay first, because the tool generates a replacement rather than revealing the hidden original. If an unmarked original or editable file exists, use that instead.
There is no selection brush; it works on the whole image and can change more than the visible mark. This page targets watermark-like overlays, and the text remover handles overlaid wording. Paid plans can add up to 10 images; each is its own task, so group similar images and review each result.
Cleanup costs 60 credits per image, shown on the Generate button before you confirm. The output keeps the upload format and is fitted within a 2048-pixel long edge: a 4000 × 3000 source becomes 2048 × 1536, while 1200 × 800 stays as it is. Keep your full-size original.
The cleanup runs on the whole image, without a brush. These groups show what it targets, what it returns and how the output is sized.
01
The AI watermark remover looks across the whole image for overlay-like content such as tiled marks, corner badges, date stamps, stickers and text labels. You do not paint a mask, and you cannot keep one added mark while removing another. It tries to tell an overlay from scene content such as a shop sign, but it can get that wrong.
02
What lay under an overlay is not in the file you uploaded, so the model fills that area with plausible detail. Compare the covered area with the neighboring texture and keep the marked original, because the cleaned image is an interpretation. When exact content matters, look for an unmarked original instead.
03
The output keeps the upload format and is fitted within a 2048-pixel long edge, so a larger source is scaled down without cropping and a smaller one keeps its dimensions. Paid plans can add up to 10 images at once, each its own task at 60 credits, so group similar images and review every result.
A watermark remover repairs the area under an overlay. These tools cover the neighboring jobs.
What a watermark remover does, what automatic cleanup can change, and how to review the result.
A watermark remover removes or reconstructs a watermark-like overlay in an image. Potto AI provides an automatic workflow for suitable sources, returning a generated cleanup result. The repaired pixels are an interpretation, not a recovered hidden original. Use material you are authorized to adapt and compare the entire output.
No. An overlay can replace or cover information that is absent from the uploaded image. The model fills that area with plausible detail. Use an unmarked original or editable project when exact content matters, especially for faces, product labels, and evidence images.
This page processes the image automatically and does not provide a manual selection brush. It can change regions outside the visible mark. For a different creative change, use the image editor; for precise factual recovery, find the original source rather than inferring it from a generated reconstruction.
More than the mark itself. The cleanup runs on the whole image, so besides removing the overlay it can soften nearby texture, change a sign or a product label it mistook for an overlay, or affect several added marks at once. A date stamp on a plain surface is the easiest case; a sticker across a face or a patterned object is the hardest. Compare the full output with the source, not only the spot where the mark was.
You can upload an image and look at the controls before signing in. Running the cleanup and downloading need an account; the sign-in dialog keeps your image in place.
The provider may refuse an image before or during processing, including brand marks, repeated watermarks and some recognized images, even when you believe you may edit the file. A refusal is not a ruling on ownership and does not predict how other images will behave, and repeating the same request is not a reliable fix. Look for an unmarked original, an editable source or another asset, and do not try to disguise a protected mark through another tool. To ask about a failed task, send support the page, approximate time, visible error and task identifier, never account secrets or payment details.
Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB. The cleanup output keeps the upload format. Images larger than a 2048-pixel long edge are scaled down to fit without cropping or stretching; smaller images retain their dimensions. For example, a 4000 × 3000 source becomes 2048 × 1536, and a 1200 × 800 source stays 1200 × 800. Keep the full-size original, and check the whole processed image as well as the covered area. Enlarging the result later cannot recover what the overlay hid.
Paid plans can process up to 10 images at once. Each image is its own task at 60 credits, and the quote on the Generate button covers the batch before you start. Reservations and releases apply to each image separately: one may succeed while another is refused or fails, so review every output. Revising a finished cleanup is a new request.
Yes, on a paid plan; images made on the free plan are for personal use. Potto adds no watermark of its own. Removing an overlay does not give you rights to the image underneath, so use the remover only on images you own or have permission to edit, and compare the repaired area before publishing.
Upload an image you are allowed to edit and check the area the AI watermark remover repaired before you download.
