Videos use credits when you export, and starting one needs a balance that covers its export. Counts assume a 30-second product demo and a 60-second explainer with narration and 3 illustrations.
Feature loop FAQs
What is a feature loop?
A feature loop is a short motion graphic that plays through one idea and returns to its first frame so it can repeat. On this page that includes product comparisons, UI morphs, looping 3D scenes and build timelapses made by creators.
What is the difference between a feature loop and a one-shot clip?
A feature loop is cut so the end matches the start and the same motion can play again. A one-shot clip has a beginning and an ending, such as a title that resolves and stops. The videos in this gallery are loops, including the 15-second showreel and the longer build pieces.
What feature loops are in this gallery?
The gallery has nine creator videos: a 46-second Blender procedural timelapse, a prehistoric island comparison, a 25-second creature rigging loop, a 15-second showreel, a 30-second cartoon-scene reconstruction, a 20-second lip-balm ad comparing Opus and Astra, a 20-second 3D eye anatomy loop, and two loops that morph one shape into app UI states.
How do I remake a feature loop?
Play the feature loop you want, then choose Use this prompt on that video, or describe your own subject and say that the motion must return to the first frame. Potto renders its own version, which you can preview and change before you export.
Which ratio should a feature loop use?
Use 16:9 for YouTube and slides, 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, and 1:1 for feed posts. The creator videos here are 16:9 or 1:1, including the island comparison in 16:9 and the lip-balm and UI morph loops in 1:1.
How long can the video be?
From the creator you can choose 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds. The gallery pieces themselves run 15, 20, 25, 30 and 46 seconds, which is the length each creator published.
Can I change the loop after the first preview?
Yes. Describe the change in the chat, for example a slower morph, a closer view or a different color, and Potto renders a new preview. Each change is a round you can undo, and previewing and editing never use credits.
What can I export?
Feature loop videos export as MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. Transparent video and GIF exports are only offered for short motion clips such as logo animations and lower thirds.
How much does a feature loop video cost?
A feature loop video costs credits only when you export it, at 5 credits per second of video: 50 credits for 10 seconds and 150 for 30 seconds. A voiceover, if you add one, adds a few credits based on its length. To start, your balance must cover the length you choose at 5 credits per second, and new accounts get 100 credits, enough to start a 15-second video.
